I had a great experience, Quality Automotive service is very reliable. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Bill the owner, and all of the staff, take the time to explain things in detail, both before and after the work is done. Also, they don't push you into buying anything, which is the best part.

Receptionist was very friendly and efficient. Gary has excellent diagnostic skills and asked all the right questions. They were upfront with the time and cost to fix cracked radiator. If I lived in Truckee, I would be a regular at Quality Automative.

Bill and the crew are phenomenal! Very knowledgeable on Subaru and VWs. Honest work at fair prices. They offer an 18 month warranty on all work, 24 month if you join the club and do a little advertising with a frame around your license plate. Did I mention they are honest? They will 100% stand by the warranty. You can make an appointment to have work done so you don't have to wait. Smog checks are walk in. Do yourself a favor and don't go anywhere else if you need a good, honest mechanic!

I was panicked when my car began to show signs of computer problems and I was 3 hours away from my mechanic. Being a Subaru owner (and a woman who easily falls prey to scammers) I very hesitantly took my car to this shop. Gary was great in explaining the probable problems while being quite reassuring. They ran a diagnostic test and were able to nail the problem and fix it the next day. Again, Gary explained every detail of the problem and how they were able to fix it. In addition, he pointed out some additional minor problems (low oil and what that could mean), a small bulb that needed to be replaced, tires that needed to be rotated and a fuse replacement. He also advised me to watch out for certain symptoms that I could expect based on the age and mileage of my car. I highly recommend Quality Automotive. They are very friendly and accommodating. Subaru owners need not worry that they can get quality service here. While a bit pricey (but keep in mind that this is Truckee) the quality of work and peace of mind is well worth it!

This shop is very customer oriented. They performed all work on time, and for the price as estimated. They are also on top of things communication-wise. They answer their phones, return calls, explain the service procedure thoroughly, and even have text and email reminders. Price was about as expected for the area. My only request would be for them to explore alternate options for replacement parts: for example, a Toyota-branded cabin filter was replaced for $60. Non-branded, but similar quality cabin filters can be found for $10.

Super nice guys there and very sharp with european vehicles. They stock all the standard parts and do their best to get you in and out of there as soon as possible. Small shop but I highly recommend.

Very Happy with the Service, took my Jeep in to get smogged and was in and out very quickly, without an appointment. Gary and Kevin are always very pleasant. I would recommend.
