Great service, friendly staff, top notch mechanics!

"Blown Away".... I brought my 4 Runner in to Quality Automotive for a smog check only to find out that my truck had some major electrical problems and that they could not pass my 4 Runner until I had the electrical problems fixed "California Law". I had agreed to have my trucks problems fixed. The problem was very hard to figure out and they spent countless hours trying to diagnose the problem. I called them after 3 days and expressed my concern about being charged for the 20+ hours spent on my vehicle. I was told that I would only be charged for the actual problem and not for any of the hours spent figuring what the problem was. After figuring out that my main computer had failed, I was informed that a new computer would cost $1700. Instead of taking that opportunity to get a $1700 part, they took it upon them selves to find me a used computer for a fraction of the price. That type of service is very hard to find at any auto mechanics business. Quality Automotive took a major hit in labor and parts to help me get my truck back on the road. They definitely lost money on my truck but gained a loyal customer for life. I have and will continue to recommend Quality Automotive to anyone that needs repairs. I truly felt like I had walked into a good friends business and treated me just as that. Thank you to all the staff at Quality Automotive for the countless hours and great service put into my vehicle!!!

Friendly, and helpful. Very knowledgeable! I was traveling, had a problem with my rental car and stopped by for some help and advice. They took a look, filled my reservoir with water, gave me some advice and had me on my way in minutes. Wouldn't take my money, but am forever grateful.

My wife and I both use Quality, and have had nothing but great experiences there. She takes her Subaru there for everything, I bring my Ford Explorer in for repairs I can't handle at home. I can only say good things about Quality. The place is clean, the service writers are knowledgeable, and take the time to explain the situation with your car. They are always happy to prioritize what needs to be done ASAP, what can be put off for a while, etc. The quality of the work done has always been first class. We've never had to bring anything back for a second look. They have my trust, 100%, and they are the only place I bring my car in Truckee.Here's one example:I was driving from Truckee to SF one afternoon. I had to be in SF for work that night by 8:00 pm. My car developed an issue as I was leaving Truckee. I pulled into the Donner Summit rest area, looked under the hood, saw a belt was fraying and called Quality. Gary not only moved things around so they could work on my car right away, he also ordered all the parts that may have been needed to fix my car before I got it to the shop. (Turns out I only needed the belt, and the other parts were retunred) I limped the car back to Truckee, and to Quality. They took it in right away, fixed it, and I was on back on my way to SF in about an hour. They may not be able to turn cars around that fast every time, but they made a real effort for me when I told them I needed to be in SF that evening.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for helping us out when a oil line burst & ended up across the parking lot from quality auto. Even though they were ready to close they sent someone with me to add enough oil to get it to their shop. By 9:30 AM the next morning they had a diagnosis & parts ordered ( even though the parts would take a few days to get to them) & advised me of a Toyota Technical Service Bulletin outlining the issue. After calling Toyota to make sure my warranty would cover Quality doing the fix they advised me to have it towed to a Toyota dealership. Reluctantly I agreed & even though the car sat at the dealership all day yesterday -they didn't even look at it tii late (after the cutoff time to order parts) so today is wasted & "maybe" tomorrow so SHOULD OF HAD QUALITY AUTOMOTIVE FIX MY CAR!!!! They are great!

The most honest repair shop I have ever been to, and reasonable prices to boot! I live in San Jose, but am in Truckee 6-8 times a year, and will be planning my SUV's needs to coincide with my Truckee visits because this place is the best. Wouldn't take it anywhere else.
