Vehicle maintenance and repairs just became a whole lot more fun at Quality Automotive Servicing in Truckee when you adventure out on their courtesy cruiser e-bike. Adventure #1 is the Donner Lake Loop, an approximate 8 mile loop that is easy to accomplish, especially on a comfy e-bike. With a new shop location on Donner Pass Road, it’s a breeze to hop on over to Donner Lake where there is a designated bike trail and flat terrain. Stop at a dock, drop in for ice cream at Truckee Ice Creamery, drop off at Shoreline Park or play tennis at West End beach. Continue around the lake and the road eventually takes you in the back pedestrian entrance to Donner State Park. On the way out of the park, check the “new” state park museum which has free entry. The bike comes with a lock, so feel free to secure it and venture out on the interpretive trail along Donner Creek, a beautiful walk with wildflowers in the spring.
